Trying to find information from a book- O'Quinns Ireland to Texas

Hello,

I am looking for information from a book that is entitled "O'Quinns Ireland to Texas" by D.P. O'Quinn. In it he references a woman named Mary O'Quinn Dowies (also potentially known as Mary Isabelle) who died in childbirth with her son Gilmer Dowies. I am in need of images of the information that references her and also was wondering if there was anything else mentioned about her at all including perhaps exact dates of birth/death and any information on where she is buried. Also any sources of these references if those are mentioned. I appreciate any and all help that can be given. I have hand searched Census rolls for various parishes and reached out to numerous distant relatives but am hitting a wall. I can't access the book online as it says Protected (Search Only) so the only bits of information I have are these little crumbs I can see in the search bar. I would love to have the entire page of information. Thank You all so much for your help.

    Good morning @Heather72225

"The O'Quinns, Ireland to Texas" was copyrighted in 1981. That's why we can't see it online from FamilySearch.org.

Have you checked WorldCat.org to see if a library near you also holds a copy?
You can enter your zip code or other location info to find the nearest library.
    https://search.worldcat.org/title/8390109?oclcNum=8390109

Also, not every library participates in WorldCat, so you might also check the online catalog of a library near you, if you don't see it in WorldCat.
    Best of luck.

    Hello @Heather72225,

I see in the WorldCat list which was provided by @Áine.ní.Donnghaile that the Newberry Library in Chicago holds a copy of this book. Several years ago I contacted the Newberry Library about a journal article held in the library and they kindly sent me a photocopy of the article. I found the Newberry Library staff to be extremely helpful.

Here is the link to Newberry Library's "Ask a Librarian":

You may want to contact the staff and ask them if they could assist you. Be sure to identify the author and title when you ask your question. Bear in mind that you would need to be very specific about the information you are seeking and there is a limit to what is considered "fair use" when photocopying from a copyrighted book. The library may also charge a fee for the photocopying and mailing.

I hope this helps you with your research.

    Best regards, Robert Seal_1

Hi. Unfortunately the closest to me is 534 miles away and I have been searching for a closer source for over 6 months with no luck. I would purchase a copy if I could find it.

Thanks Robert. I will try to reach out to the Newberry Library. The closest location otherwise to me is still 534 Miles away and I have no plans to travel in that direction anytime soon.

@Heather72225 my local library is one of the top genealogy libraries in the US, 2nd or 3rd (depending on the ranking) after the SLC FHL. The ACPL holds a copy.
If you can give me the specifics of what you need, I'll be happy to take copies of those pages.
