Wrong ship transcription for index card

Hi,

I found a transcription error for this record: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q2W6-LKKS

It incorrectly lists the Saxonia as the ship in the transcript for Theresa but upon checking the image, it appears this was copied from the top entry on the card rather than the Numidian listed for her name.

Would it be possible for this to be revised?

We can't change what is typed on the card, even if the original (or secondary/derivative) is in error.

The type on the card is correct. The indexing is incorrect. And it's part of the indexing that is not editable by regular users.

Not only is the indexing wrong for Theresa, it's wrong for 6 other individuals listed on the card. Only the first name is indexed correctly.

The index that I see doesn't list the name of the ship.

The card lists the name of the ship, but the index does not.

At the bottom of the first image, the index, of your most recent post it states "Ship Name Saxonia"

@Nyx773 I managed to change the date to match the specific entry on the card. But, there's no access to the Ship Name field. I added "Additional Field" called Ship to try and get Numidian to display, but no luck.

@SerraNola Can you look at this, please?

Not only is it a problem for the link in the OP, but (per random checks) all other cards listing multiple people are also indexed incorrectly for the date and ship name.

@Sean18751 "Ship name" is only found stored in the underlying metadata. Sorry that the field was obviously skipped in the indexing template for this collection so it cannot be edited. It's also unfortunate that AI indexed it like a passenger list, with one ship name per record.

Record collections are not usually re-indexed unless there is a really egregious error—and sometimes not even then, as we've all seen some pretty bad indexing!
