San Francisco 1910 census

Perhaps I'm being a bit dense, but I cannot find an address in San Francisco on the 1910 census, it's on Clementina Street. Is the street actually on the census?

In 1910, you will generally find the street written vertically up the side. In some cases, you may have to flip back a page to see the street name.

Thanks. I've found the address, the family living there was not the one I was looking for who were there in 1914. People moved around a lot more back then than we think.

All I have is the name Neils Sovig age 34 in 1914, born in Norway (therefore about 1879/80). Son of Mrs Sovig of 342 Clementina St, San Francisco.

There's a story to tell, but I won't go into it until I've got more information. I'm looking to see when or if he became a US citizen and if he later became a British citizen as he was a civilian casualty of World War I just weeks into the war in 1914.

That's from the UK, and that's all I found. Just an index, not a certificate or application.

It is, this is incredible stuff. Thanks for everything. My theory that he was the first American to be killed in World War I, predating the accepted history, isn't quite correct as he was a British citizen at the time of his death. For a few days I thought I could rewrite history!
