residence isn't consistent

I entered my dad's burial date and got a message that the residence wasn't consistent. The obituary says that he died at his home in Meridian Idaho. This does not make sense.

"Residence" covers both date and place. A common problem people run into is that obituary sources when being attached through the source linker allow you to create a Residence event that includes the date of the obituary and the place of the obituary. The obituary date is always after the date of death. That is what triggers the message you are seeing.
Choices to correct this are just to delete (or never create) that residence, change the date to the date of death, or create a custom event titled Obituary and put the obituary's date and place there (and delete the residence).
