When indexing and a person has 2 separate first names, should I include them both?
Just thought of this one because I've seen it sometimes. In the record it has shorter names as nicknames, but there may be sections where its unclear which one you should stick with.
a lot of people will do 'Antonio or Tony' in the names section, but what should we really be doing.

Just follow the rule for Full Name Review - "With Full Name Review, your task is to compare the name in a historical document with the name that the computer transcribed. The two names should be exactly the same. If you see a mistake in the transcription, you can correct it." If the highlight includes Antonio (Tony) Marano, then include everything highlighted in the name. If the Box in the Review Panel contains a misspelling, correct it. Sometimes the order of the names needs to be corrected as well. If the parentheses are part of the record, it is all right to include them in the transcription, but if you add them yourself, it could cause some confusion in the transcription.

Can you substitute quotation marks for the parentheses, ie Antonio "Tony" ?

@maryellenstevensbarnes1 If the quotation marks are not included in the record, then do not add them to the transcribed record. If it is in the record and highlighted, it would probably be ok.
