El Salvador Birth Record and Birth Record Replacements
Hello,
I am having some ongoing difficulty doing searches in El Salvador. The indexed records contain inaccurate information, such as a default date of birth 1704, yet the records are from the 1900's. This is impacting multiple regions and records.
Here is an example of documents from San Miguel (correct DOB 1969)
Different San Miguel Collection with same issue (1947):
Another from La Union (1991):
Tackling these errors individually is very time consuming, and typically I am only able to name search and locate records for 3 or 13 of someone's children. I know the documents are in the collections, the indexing is just so off with names AND dates, they cannot be found! Is there anything we can do to fix this?

There is a new process in place for reporting errors like what you're describing. See this image and related instructions located here: https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/search
Click on the Records Issue link to report the errors you are finding.
That will take you here: https://forms.monday.com/forms/b2bab1e388c382c1ea229e6391abe7a3?r=use1
This is now the best way to help FS resolve problems like this.

@Julia15603 just a warning to keep a local copy of anything you submit though the Records Issues Form, as you will have no access to the completed form.
