Possible access restriction inconsistency – DGS 7977979 and 7977980 (Sillano, Lucca, Italy)

FamilySearch Support advised me to post this question here because there appears to be an inconsistency in the availability of these image groups.

I am researching the civil registration records of Sillano (Lucca, Italy).

In the FamilySearch catalog entry:

"Registri dello stato civile di Sillano (Lucca), 1866-1899, 1911-1929"

I can access without any problem:

• DGS 7121302
• DGS 7121303

However, I cannot access:

• DGS 7977979 (Births 1911-1917)
• DGS 7977980 (Births 1917-1929, Marriage Banns 1911-1929, Marriages 1911-1929, Deaths 1911-1929)

The camera icon is present, but all images are locked and the message says that the images are restricted.

I contacted FamilySearch Support and was advised to post here because there appears to be an inconsistency in availability.

Could a moderator please verify whether the restrictions on DGS 7977979 and DGS 7977980 are correct, or whether they may have been applied in error?

DGS 7977980 would be restricted for data privacy reasons because it contains records through 1929.

DGS 7977979 also has records as recent as 1929. Item 6 covers 1911-1917, but Items 1-5 cover more recent years.

@GiuseppeGuerrini I’m not completely certain what the date‑range rules are for this collection, but if the limit for birth records is 100 years, we may be able to unlock film 7977979. The metadata currently lists the birth records as covering 1911–1929, but after reviewing the film, I can confirm that the catalog is correct—the range should be 1911–1917.

With the updated date range, the restriction may be removed, though that depends on the applicable guidelines. Please check back in a few weeks to see whether access has been restored.

Marriages and deaths are 70 years
Births are 100

7977979 Items 1-5 may be for a different town - appears to be Seravezza (Lucca) if the listing is correct - And all of those Items are Marriages and Deaths - so they should be available

7977979 Item 6 - is for Sillano (Lucca) - and all of those items are births up to 1917 - so, all of those are good as well

So, by rule, none of the items on the entire DGS 7977979 should be restricted because the entire DGS falls within permissible parameters

DGS 7977980, as noted by @Áine.ní.Donnghaile, is a problem with Nati through 1929

My interest is specifically in Item 6 of DGS 7977979, which contains the Sillano (Lucca) birth records for 1911–1917.

I appreciate your review and clarification regarding the actual contents of the film and the applicable access rules.

I will check again in a few weeks to see whether access has been restored.
