Help finding more info on John Hasker
Hello! I’m unsure if this is an acceptable post (my first time posting here), but I’ve hit a big stump in my research recently. My ancestor is John Hasker (P4T9-KKN) and I’ve been researching him a while.
He suddenly appears in Arizona in 1927 when he married Martha Nora (P4T9-W9Q). I haven’t yet found him elsewhere. (Albeit he was in AZ since 1925, according to his death certificate). Relatives close to him say he was indigenous or some other race, but I’m yet to find anything to support that; As in I haven’t found a “John Hasker” in any Dawes Rolls or Indian Censues. Could be a fake name (his eldest daughter, the informant, didn’t know middle name or parents names or info on death certificate), but I’m unsure.
John was born in Oklahoma, in 1874. His birth year fluctuates, but 1872-1874 seems to be consistent and most likely. He told the 1940 census enumerator his age.
The earliest census I’ve had him in that I can confirm to be him is the 1930 census, and the latest (publicly) the 1950 census.
Other than that, I can’t seem to find anything other info on him prior to 1927, in his marriage affidavit with Martha Nora.
This may be a bit of a stretch to ask, but is anyone available to help? I’m too curious to give this case up. Any info or help would be very much appreciated. Thanks. 😊

@Donovan6361 If you have access to Ancestry, there's several pieces of info there. Ancestry does offer a short-term free trial. Also you may want to try WWI draft registration, required of all adult males regardless of age or marital status. Very likely, parents are unknown and Oklahoma did not become a state until 1907.
