I have a similar issue with this recurd: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:62JL-XDSN?lang=en
A person named Jude in this record is assumed female, He is indeed male and celebrates hus birthday today. 😁
This is a Genealogy Bank listing. I have contacted Genealogy Bank and they informed me this was a Family search link. A friend found the record on Genealogy Bank:0 -
@Eugene Breindel A select transcription of the pertinent section of the obituary listing in question (which I am sure you have read, but to help others) reads as follows:
"Doug is survived by his sisters Bette Sweeney of Johnsonburg, Vickie Sorg of St. Mary and Jennifer (John) Ross of Shippensburg and brothers Fritz Sweeney of Johnsonburg, Mike (Barb) Sweeney of St. Marys, Pat (Karen) of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Frank (Gae) of Rockwell, TX and Jude (Michele) of Telford, PA." … as cited by GenealogyBank: Daily Press, The () , obit for Douglas J. Sweeney, GenealogyBank.com (https://www.genealogybank.com/doc/obituaries/obit/192E413BAAB935C8-192E413BAAB935C8 : accessed 9 June 2026)
It may be best to view the FS listing from the perspective of Douglas to compare the labels, so: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:62JL-XDS6 this works better.
Clearly, Jude is a brother and this is an error, as the obituary lists Jude under brothers along with his wife Michele.
@SerraNola How would this be fixed as it is data that comes from GB with no way on their site to correct it?

@Eugene Breindel I attempted to edit this for you, but unfortunately the film just wanted to spin endlessly and never open. I reported it and will bookmark this thread to remember to come back after the fix and take care of the error. Hopefully it won't be too long.
