Burial location wrong on Family Search?
My great-grandparents were from Eufala and Hanna, Oklahoma, but Family Search has my great-grandparents listed as being buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in McIntosh County, OK. There is no Oak Hill Cemetery in McIntosh County, OK. The only Oak Hill Cemetery I can find is in McAlester, OK. I searched that cemetery and there were no matching names. How can I find out where they are buried?

In my searching, I did find references to a very small cemetery named Oak Hill in McIntosh County, OK:
- On the Oklahoma Cemeteries site: Oak Hill Cemetery
- On Find A Grave: Oak Hill Cemetery
I of course have no idea if your great-grandparents are actually buried there, but since it appears that such a cemetery does exist, you might look on those reference sites to see if by chance that's the correct place.
The Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester is much larger, but of course is some distance away from McIntosh County, and you've already looked there.
If you are comfortable sharing the Person IDs for your great-grandparents here, then other Community users might be able to help you with your research. You certainly could search the records on FamilySearch (or on other sites such as Ancestry or MyHeritage or Find A Grave or BillionGraves) to see if you can find cemetery or burial or death records for your great-grandparents that might give you some clues.

Obituaries are often a great source for burial information, too. If you know their death dates, you could try searching Newspapers.com, or the OK Historical Society website, which has newspapers into the 1920s.
