Black Border for Profile Photo
Why do some Family Tree individual profiles have a black border for their profile picture, while others do not? How to I create a black border for profile pictures?

see attached … it appears for several profiles, but not all.

Yes, I can see the example photos you attached. But can you give us the name and ID number of one of the profiles where this occurs. The ID is by the name on the profile in the form of XXXX-XXX

The example appears to be an icon used as a profile photo and not exactly centered in the window.
In other words, it appears to be a manually-created image by a contributor.3 -
Sorry, but I don't have any PID examples, but it appeared on several (more than one). Aine, I also checked to see if there was a "template" image in the person's profile memories, and there was not. I know people do that, for example, coat of arms, national flags, Mayflower, etc. It's my understanding that we are not suppose to post "characterizations" in memories so they can appear in the Profile "circle" picture. What's wrong with just leaving the "circle" blank? just sayin'

A profile photo does not have to exist in Memories.
Even if you didn't save a PID to show us where you saw the icon, you can look in your Recents to see what profiles you have recently viewed. https://www.familysearch.org/en/tree/recents/1 -
I understand your comment, but my "recents" list doesn't have an example of this situation, because I edit so many records and the example for this situation has "fallen off" my "recents" list. I will keep an eye out to see if I come across another example sometime in the future. I assumed the attached image to my question would suffice to explain hoping that someone would have an answer to satisfy my curiosity. thanks,

@fnulnu1999 Another option to check is your Contributions list. Edits you have made don't fall off there.

It appears that most of the edits to KWCX-FT3 and her family have been made by a single contributor. You can contact that contributor by Chat. You can also remove the non-standard profile photo, if you wish.
Since the profile KWCX-FT3 has a hint from the MyHeritage labs project, I took a look on MH. There, the profile photo shows more completely:
