In Quick Name Review, I mark initials only as "Not a Person". In Full Name Review, I read the sentence or phrase to determine the appropriate surname, then highlight it and continue thru Step 4 to finish.

Compare the handwritten name in the image with the indexed name shown in the text box below the highlight.

    • If you determine that the indexed name shown in the text box matches the highlighted name on the record, click Match. The two names should be spelled exactly the same.
    • If you determine that the indexed name shown in the text box does not match the highlighted name on the record, click Edit, make the correction, and click Submit.
      • An example might be if the computer indexed "george" when the text clearly reads "George." In that case, fix the mistake and click Match.
    • If you cannot read the name in the image, click Unsure

If what is highlighted matches text box then click match

Also, if I see Wm or Geo should I leave it? Or Change it to William and George?

@An2028 Leave the abbreviation because there are additional names that could us the Wm or Geo abbreviations, ie Willum, Willie, Geoffrey, Georgina - in reviewing we are only looking at the letters in the name for correctness not interpreting or assuming the name
