I am working on my 5x and 6x GGF. I can not find any documentation on either and the web sites I find are in French. Any help on Louis James Cragow (Crago) supposedly born 1721 Alsace France, died in 1783 in Philadelphia PA US and Thomas Cragow born 1768 Alsace France and died in US but not sure what year, some time after 1732.

    Welcome to the Community.

Alsace can be a challenging area to research because the borders changed so often. Some records will be in French while others will be in German.
The Alsace archives sites are great; I've found many family records there. We have several individuals in the Community who are willing and able to translate when you find a record that you think may be useful.

I posted the link to the profile in the thread so that someone else who wanted to help wouldn't have to search for it as I did.
