Other Relationship on Death Certificate

The informant on death certificates is sometimes a non-relative, information a genealogist could find useful. On this record in Los Angeles. Death Certificates 1945, image 35 of 2,804

I was successful in adding the informant, Olga Karlson to the record Names Index. I had earlier created that person, PD8M-2F9, and was able to attach it to Olga, BUT when I attempt to add the Other relationship for her from the primary person, George Kristian Nelson, GX6X-PS9, I am able to fill that field, but when I SAVE, the blue button turns gray, and a spinning circle to the left of SAVE occurs which will run for as long as I leave it.

An option of Informant in place of Other could be a useful addition, but then a different problem occurs when that person is also a spouse. From other observations I have made is that a single record seems not to be able to be attached to the same person twice.

Thank you.

Here is another Death Certificate from a different set, Vermont. Vital Records 1955–1979, with the same problem, image 2763 of 3,215, primary person LDTG-6JT.

"Other" never works for me when indexing any type of document. I usually use "Associate" or "Relative".

Not being able to have an "Other" relationship might be a known bug/glitch. I vaguely recall a post a couple-few months back. I was unable to find it doing a search.
