Corruption of U.S. WWII Enlistment Records
Volunteers attached FamilySearch WWII Enlistment Records to soldiers, starting in 2024. Since then, some soldier records have been corrupted so they no longer show the first line, in which the soldier name was identified.

We do not know if the corruption is expanding, but we are fearful it could impact hundreds or thousands of WWII enlistments.
