AI Research Assistant is assuming relationships that are incorrect. Benjamin P Burke GX6N-BC6 is listed as the "Master" of an unnamed female slave, but the AI Research Assistant assumed the child was a daughter. I have attached the birth and death records to Benjamin and under Other Relationships I entered Unknown P8GM-6CV and attached the two sources. But on "Unfinished Attachments," the Source Linker still shows a possible daughter that is incorrect and that I was unable to delete.

@Marilyn Reno Cranford It can be fairly common for AI to assume incorrect relationships. It is supposed to be used as a discovery tool, designed to find potential matches rather than proven information. AI can mistake people with similar names and misinterpret data, so do not automatically accept hints without checking the sources you have. You should be able to edit the relationship. Navigate to the person's profile in FamilyTree. Find the incorrect relationship, (spouse or parent) click the pencil icon to edit. Select remove or replace. If AI added an incorrect person, you should be able to fix that. You can also dismiss a suggestion on "Unfinished attachments" if that is what is happening. If these suggestions don't work, please come back and let us know - it could be a bug that needs to be investigated. I hope this helps! Best of luck.

Yes, I understand the purpose of the AI Research Assistant and I have years of experience with editing relationships. Clicking "Dismiss" on "Unfinished Attachments" removes the link from Benjamin P. Burke's Sources page to the Source Linker, but it does not remove the incorrect suggested relationship itself. I believe the issue stems not from the AI Research Assistant but from the indexing of a birth record. The record shows the birth of an enslaved child. The form is in the Virginia Vital Records collection, and the relationship has been interpreted as father and child because the title on the preprinted Register of Births is "Father's Name in full if Child be free and born in wedlock, or Name of Owner if Child be born a Slave."
The collection contains a mix of records, and the options for formatting during manual indexing would have been limited.

I agree that the issue probably comes from the indexing. On the far right of the same image you reference, the column is "Designation of Informant" and there most of the informants are identified as "Master." On the birth record source page, there is an Edit option where one could correct the "daughter" relationship, but it says "Edit Unavailable."
