My ancestor's father died when he was 7 and his biological mother remarried a man who

had been married twice before. The FamilySearch tree showed his parents as his stepfather and the stepfather's 2nd wife.

I replaced the stepfather with my ancestor's biological father, but the tree continues to show the mother as the stepfather's 2nd wife. I've tried to replace the stepfather's 2nd wife with my ancestor's biological mother a few times over the last several days, but every time I do I get the following message "The system is currently unavailable" and the change is not made.

I also noticed that on my ancestor's person page, both biological parents are correctly listed in the Parent section. However, if I scroll down further to just below the Children section, it lists the parents as the biological father and the stepfather's 2nd wife. This is marked "Preferred".

Can anyone offer guidance as to how I can correct this?

@MichaelGrossman1 Hi, we have a hard time giving much specific guidance until you provide us with some names and PIDs of the people involved. In the meantime, here are links to the instructions for dealing with relationships.
