QUESTION ABOUT GRACE ADAMS
My wife's great grandmother is Grace Adams (November 30, 1881- September 8, 1964) she was the youngest daughter of Rev Samuel McKee Adams (08/8/1827-11/7/1894) and Jane Meek Williams (6/16/1838-12/13/1917). Grace was born in Downey, California, her father was a Rev at the Downey Methodist Church. Per this Church's website, its digital records are maintained by FamilySearch. Both FamilySearch and Ancestry have correct information about Grace, but I am struggling to find a source document showing she is the daughter of Samuel and Jane - this is where I need your help as my wife is applying for membership in the DAR.
Further information about Grace - she married William Wesley Finch (01/22/1880-1/22/1934) on March 10, 1905 and they had one daughter, Marjorie Finch (my wife's grandmother). After Williams's death, Grace married George Cilent Beatty (12/22/1875-11/30/1966), they had no children. Grace is often listed as Grace Adam Finch Beatty, which is how she is listed on the Los Angeles death records.
Summary - I would be most grateful if you can provide me with any document such as a birth certificate or death certificate or even baptismal records showing she is the daughter of Samuel and Jane. BTW - the 1890 Federal census which would have shown this connection was destroyed by fire in 1921

If the informant knew Grace's parentage and was diligent at the time of Grace's death, the death certificate should have the names of Grace's parents.
The obituary for Grace's mother only mentions "survived by seven daughters and one son" without names.0 -
