Whilst attempting to create a record of my Great Great Grandfather and Great Great Grandmother I accidentally made them the same as of my Great Grand Parents. I would edits the details etc except that the id number of each is different to the actual ancestors I wish to enter. I cannot delete the incorrect entries because it is greyed out and unavailable. Any help would be welcome.

Re editing/correcting relationships: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/connecting-and-correcting-relationships-in-family-tree may be your best start point.

Re deleting profiles: you can only delete a profile if you created it and no-one else has ever contributed to it.

If you still need help, just post again - good luck with your researches.

    Thank you MandyShaw1,

I am still unable to correct my mistake. If someone else has contributed to the details of the person I can understand why I should not be able to delete a profile, however, what I wish to do is simply remove it from my family tree. It should not be there. Is there a way of removing it from my family tree without deleting the original profile?

    Hi @MandyShaw1,

please disregard my previous comment. After following the link you sent me I eventually found the correct method to remove the entries off my family tree without deleting them. All is now good.

    Thank you.
