Help with search of Dorombach Family from Nagybocskó and Trebušany (1884–1921)
Hello,
I am looking for information regarding my great-grandfather, his wife, and their ancestors. I would appreciate any help or guidance on finding relevant archival records (church books or census sheets).
Currently, I have a Czechoslovak census record from 1921 for the village of Trebušany (house No. 100), which provides clear details about the family. According to this document, my great-grandfather József Dorombach was born on November 22, 1884, in Nagybocskó, and his wife Maria was born on January 31, 1888, in Trebušany. Both are listed as Hungarian-speaking Roman Catholics. I am attaching a scan of this census record as it serves as the primary evidence for my search.
Key information:
- Great-grandfather: József Dorombach (also spelled as Josef or Dornbach).
- Date of Birth: November 22, 1884.
- Place of Birth: Nagybocskó (now Velykyi Bychkiv, Ukraine).
- Religion: Roman Catholic (Latin: Ritus Latini).
- Nationality/Language: Hungarian.
- Great-grandmother: Maria Dorombach. Born in 1888 (likely Jan 31) in Trebušany (now Dilove, Ukraine). Her maiden name is currently unknown.
Known Children (as of 1921):
- Helena (b. , 1915, Trebušany)
- Emma (b. , 1918, Trebušany)
- Ferenc (b. , 1920, Trebušany)
Census Data: In 1921, the family lived in house No. 100 in Trebušany (District Rachovo, Podkarpatská Rus). József worked at a glass factory (Sklárna).
What I am looking for:
- Baptismal Record for József (Nov 22, 1884): I am searching for the names of his parents. Based on the 1921 census, he was born in Nagybocskó and was Roman Catholic.
- Marriage Record: Likely in Nagybocskó or Trebušany. This would reveal Maria’s maiden name and the names of their parents.
- Hungarian Census: Any records of the Dorombach/Dornbach family in Nagybocskó (Máramaros county) to identify the previous generation.
If anyone has access to these specific Roman Catholic records or digitized sheets that are currently "Restricted" for home viewing, I would be very grateful for your assistance!
Thank you in advance!
