Changes by " - Volunteer" IDs
Do these folks have some type of special role in the Family Tree database? This week, I had over 200 changes to persons I follow, virtually all from the same ID… deleted events, changed locations, changed vitals. Sources intentionally left unlinked were processed and created "deceased" entries for living persons. This "volunteer" is not related to me or any of modified persons in any way. Curious if users with these "- Volunteer" IDs have some type of special task that they're empowered to execute.

There are no limitations on the usernames people can give themselves, if that helps at all.
Otherwise I don't think I can help, sorry. I have flagged this post for moderator attention in case they are aware of specific projects using such usernames.

@gmknopp1 I very much doubt these people are in any way carrying out an official task if they are marking genuinely living people as deceased, which is a privacy issue that FS takes very seriously (seehttps://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-change-the-status-from-deceased-to-living-in-family-tree).
Can you point us at a (genuinely deceased) example of these activities please? (We can't discuss any living person here.)

I've already requested the living persons be set to living. One has already been processed. As to a changed entry, to do so would bring the specific user into the thread, which is probably not appropriate. I'm dealing with that separately. I was asking in a more general case.

Ok, that's helpful. Thanks. I didn't know if "- volunteer" at the end of a username meant that these were folks at the FHC performing a specific role, or something similar.... much like "FamilySearch" is a specific user role.

Following this post. I've wondered about these "Volunteer" ID's as well.
