Inaccessible record – request for access rights verification

Hello

I wrote to Support regarding the inability to access an online record even after 100 years have passed (see the record reference below).

In response, Support suggested that I post on the forum so that “the moderator of this forum can review the access rights and report errors to the developers.”

Therefore, I would greatly appreciate it if the access rights could be checked, because within the same batch, marriages and deaths are accessible, but births remain locked.

Sincerely,

@Marc1980 I have sent this up the line to the experts in this area and hopefully you will receive an answer soon. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. This is how FamilySearch continues to fix issues that arise through the community at large.

@Marc1980 can you give me the url of the film you were trying to access? Please include the name of the film. I am working to figure out the permissions.

Thank you again for bring this to our attention.

I would like to add some information:

In the series of images here (which concerns the village I am referring to, called Quattordio):
    https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/film/007829618?cat=786668&i=0

it can be seen that for the same period (births starting from 1866), the images for a neighboring village, called Rivarone, are accessible.

The source is exactly the same: the Tribunal of the Province of Alessandria.

There is objectively no reason why the access rights should differ for birth records from the same film for two villages in the same province.

It would be really great if this could be unlocked. I have been hoping for this for years.

If you could also pass along this observation, that would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the link for the Birth / Mariage / Death records (Quattordio city) :

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/catalog/786668

    (Only Birth is not accessible).

Here is the other link I talked above :

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/film/007829618?cat=786668&i=0

Here as you can see, a piece of the film is viewable (another village, same period, same province, same record). But the first part, where should be Quattordio, is locked…

@Marc1980 I have checked the three items on this film and the dates and place names do correspond with what is on the images:

    image.png

Item 3, records of Rivarone have been accessible for quite some time as the date range would imply.

Items 1 and 2 should have automatically become available this year (less than 100 years). I will check it out and hopefully we can get these unlocked.

    @SerraNola

    Good morning Madam,

I apologize for being impatient, but do you have any updates regarding the possibility of unlocking this register? It is something I would really like to be able to consult.

    Kind regards.

@Marc1980 The engineer I spoke with in Rights Management thought it was likely blocked by contractual agreements with the DGA. However, I found that it was filmed at the Tribunale so I have requested an update on permissions for 7829618, Item 2. I'm still hopeful that we can get it unlocked, but there may be other conditions of which I'm unaware.

@Marc1980 Good news! You must have been praying. The update went through two hours ago and your records are now available.
