I am trying to add a record of existing profiles by ID to an ancestor and it tells me that the system is currently unavailable. Anyone else having this issue?

    I haven't had any issues today, @April7099

If you want to share the PID (the profile identifying code), someone else can check, if you like.

Hi, were you able to add the record of existing profiles to your ancestor?

I have had the same behaviour a few times recently. From memory, it was my own fault, although I don't remember anything more than that it occurred when I was adding or editing a relationship. It wasn't through trying to add a relationship that already existed; those errors have their own specific messages. Maybe it was when I was trying to change a relationship type. In any case, the change was successful when I corrected my error. The message "System Unavailable" seemed to me to be inappropriate at the time.

@April7099 A “system unavailable”. Or similar error on FamilySearch usually means the site is undergoing maintenance, experiencing high traffic, or there is a temporary server issue. It can also be caused by browser issues such as accumulated cache or cookies. I think this happens to all of us once in a while, but is usually quickly corrected. Here is a link that may help you.

The error message "system is currently unavailable" will occur in the context of the original post, unless you refresh the page before adding the ID number.
