Wrong families connected together

A family (not mine) has been connected to mine, there are lots of sources some correct, others not. Its going to take a lot of work to set things right.

I have corrected errors before but I'm not an expert on the system. I don't mind doing it but I don't want to lose THE sources for either family.

Are their instructions for doing a lot of connecting and disconnecting

Can I get some help doing this, and once its done is there a way to lock the profiles so they can't get crossed again.

Thank you

    Good afternoon @Aule Mar
There are many experienced users here who will be happy to help if you need assistance.

This Help Article contains many of the basics about correcting connections in the FamilySearch Family Tree. https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/connecting-and-correcting-relationships-in-family-tree

It's not possible to lock profiles. Only a few profiles are marked "Read-Only" - generally early LDS Church leaders and famous historical figures.
