Crawford County Illinois, Catalog, Land or deed record issue

About one month ago I looked at several Deed Records and all was well. The first index records in the list had some mortality records at the first portion but after those the indexes were really good.  Book A general Deed record is now only mortality records. The general index is missing.  Would it be possible to compare what was there in January 2026 to today?

A suggestion I was given was to use the Catalog to browse the actual images of the book. Even if the index is missing, the deed images themselves are usually still there; you just have to scroll past the mortality pages to find the start of the deed index or the deeds themselves. I am unsure how this will work with your particular situation. I am not sure if you can compare the Jan 2026 records like you ask. I will ask the experts and see what they can provide us.

@maxwell-williams The catalog is correctly showing that the Deed Index is found on Item 3. When you click on the camera it opens up the whole film and not just the Item number.

There are, however, errors in Images: Titles are correct, but Record Types are not

When you click on links from here, it takes you to that item on the film. You see that Book A is on Item 3. https://www.familysearch.org/en/records/images/search-results?imageGroupNumbers=7616147&pageSize=100
