Auto-generated Mandarin Pinyin is broken
Yesterday when I was adding names, I noticed something odd: after typing in a given name in Mandarin Chinese, the auto-generated Roman Pinyin for multiple characters is combined into a rather long "word" that is hard to read. It didn't behave like that before. Each character used to be translated into a one syllable word for people to read. To understand this issue, you know that Chinese genealogy records don't always keep female names, In my family tree, most of the wives' names are not recorded at all. So I have to name many women after their husbands. For example "趙繼智夫人" means the wife of this man 趙繼智. And the entire phrase is one given name [edited for content]. Under the old auto-generate feature it spells as "Zhao Ji Zhi Fu Ren" which is nice and clear. But now it becomes "Zhaojizhifuren" which is very confusing for those who are not familiar with the Romanised Pinyin system.
So is there a way I can customise how this auto-generated pinyin of the names to a format that each every character/syllable is separated and capitalized like the old way, without manually edit the text, so that they can be read out by the people who don't have Chinese background?
