Has anyone noticed that several records that were previously correct are completley different now, especially dates and names? I am not sure if this si some AI issue but it is making searching very difficult. Also, location names are suddenly incorrect especially if there is a place in a whole other state with the same name. Livramento Bahia & LIvramento Paraiba are two different places. The record was correct before and now it is changed.

@Flavia de Souza I can verify that the record in your example was updated recently by AI. The date errors may be connected with the way they are indexed in Spanish with strange characters:

Date: três de Dezembro do anno de mil oito ⌨ ⌨ centos e noventa

It is true that AI indexing can make it more challenging to search. I would suggest that "less is more" in choosing your search criteria and you may need to get creative. The good news is that once you find a record, it can be edited before attaching to the tree.

@SerraNola In the image above, I can slightly see the bottom the Edit button. It is grayed out, which means bad news, it cannot be edited before attaching the tree.

I also see "Check Image Availability". Assuming that leads to a message stating it is visible at a FamilySearch center, then it may be more correct to say:
"If you stay in the comfort of your home, then bad news: the record stays a mess. But if you are lucky enough to have a FamilySearch center near you with decent hours of operation and you are physically capable of getting there, and you have good data management skills, then good news and a lot of work."

I understand the desire (not need) to make significantly more records available by doing AI indexing. But in cases like this, when AI does a botch job, then AI indexing should be halted until the issues are fixed.

Since the record is Brazilian, I believe that the words are in Portuguese. The handwriting recognition OCR had some difficulty interpreting the words. Even with clear and precise handwriting, the AI often has difficulty.
