Unhelpful Linked Given and Surname in Family Indexing Review (FIR)
I never got an answer to Linked Names that would not resolve in FIR. I unfortunately had to send the whole Family back rather than submit incorrectly Linked Names. I have, after much trial and error figured out a way to solve the problem and I am sharing here for those working on FIR. When you come to two family members whose wrongly Linked Names cannot be corrected by just Unlinking them, I have found that if I Delete one of the person's and then Add them again that will solve the Linked issue. The linking of names is TOTALLY UNHELPFUL in this Opportunities program. It may be helpful doing Family Search when you are linking your family members, but not in the FIR program.

@Mary Rice Just curious to know if you have come across this issue:
As you can see, the question is asked, "Is this record primarily about Pedro Manuel?" You can see in the record that no names are highlighted, and the main person in the record is a girl born on December 30, 1886, named Edivina. I clicked NO for my answer. It told me to go to RECORD DETAILS. I did just that, and this is what I got:
This is the highlighted record for Pedro Manuel. But I don't know how to get this to the review page. We will be having a team meeting about these issues. We appreciate your reporting and will share your notes and any screenshots you may have with our team.

@dancingintherain Thanks for your information and trying FIR. I've actually never have been told to "Go to Record Details". The only time I go to Record Details is if the record that I'm reviewing continues on to the next page of the document. In your case if I would click "NO" it would then ask what is the correct name and I would enter Edivina. Then it would list a group of names for me to choose and if none of them match it tells me No Matches and I click that and it takes me to a new page where I enter the correct name. I wanted to send a screenshot but I didn't run across a problem like that today.

@dancingintherain Regarding Pedro Manuel, your example above, there is no way to go from the Family Tree page back to a Review Page unless Pedro already shows as a name on the page that you are reviewing, which may be. Since I cannot see if he is indeed on the page/pages with Edivina I cannot tell without seeing the whole pages.

@Mary Rice I copied the link to the page with Pedro Manuel, but when I tried to click it to go back, it wouldn't let me. I will bring that up in our team meeting this morning and report back.

@dancingintherain Thanks! FIR has not been opening all day today so I hope that means that it is being looked at, updated, etc. Fingers crossed.

@Mary Rice Yes, be patient with FIR, it may be under investigation for a while. We are hoping our engineers can get things running as they should be.

@dancingintherain It's good to hear they are working on it. I was hoping for a "quick fix" though as I miss the challenge of the program in general. So I am working on Quick Name Review but that is not much of a challenge but is needed so i'll do it. Thanks for the Update.

@Mary Rice Thanks, Mary, for your patience. Your contributions are so valuable. Hopefully, these issues will be resolved, and everything will be up and running like a dream.
