How can I prevent the RootsTech Video from appearing ?

Recent changes seem to have made a lot of things go slower, so I wonder whether background loading of unsolicited popup videos of a space shuttle taking off might be part of the problem.

Does anyone else feel that this kind of clutter is not actually anything to do with genealogy ?

Each time the source linker is opened, a video flashes up in the lower right quadrant of the screen. It disappears after a fraction of a second, just long enough to identify it as having something to do with RootsTech. The same thing happens when the image viewer is opened.

The actual video content seems to vary from time to time. It certainly serves no purpose, although its effect seems to be mainly an unnecessary distraction.

@Re Searching When the RootsTech video pops up, it is like any other advertising; there is an X on the top right of the video. Just click on it and it will go away!

@LoveSunshine62 the point is the distraction/potential performance hit from the thing coming up (for absolutely no clear reason) in the first place, not any difficulty in getting rid of it thereafter.
