Labs: MyHeritage Matches
Here at RootsTech, trying out the new labs they just spoke of. First impression on MyHeritage Matches — the several that were found for my ancestor were all from linked further to: OldNewspapers, and required a further subscription to see.
This does fit with the new paradigm of linking information sources as opposed to hosting it all.

I'm seeing a large percentage of hints from different countries. For example, my 2nd GGF was born in Ireland in 1828 and immigrated to the USA in 1855. The 6 MyHeritage hints are all from Scotland and Canada, between 1861 and 1891. No relevance.

I guess my question/comment would be more as feedback for the project (if someone could post that over better please.) Feedback being that the linked 'Match' was more of a pointer to a third source vendor/location, as opposed to a link to an actual source image.
Again, first look, first person I tried it out on.

I imagine a dedicated group for Feedback will be created.

I like the convenience of having information up front on what to expect from the MyHeritage sources. I like that it uses the FamilySearch source linker to attach the sources so that they can go to multiple people as appropriate.
I would like to see some checking to see if the MyHeritage source is already attached. For example, if I attach the 1921 census from MH to all of a family, I don't then want to attach the same source again from MH when I see it as a hint in the labs feature for the next family member.
This next suggestion applies to other sites as well. Would it be possible to have the system either add the date of the source when adding it to a person, or at least offering us the option to add it in the linking process? It's time consuming to have to go to the sources and add the date so they'll sort properly and make sense when tagged to places or events.
