Is it possible to include siblings in an ancestor tree layout?
Hi everyone,
I would like to create a family tree that goes up to my great-grandparents, but I also want to include my uncles, my brother, and my brother’s wife in the same layout.
When I use the available tree views or generate a file (such as PDF), it only shows the direct ancestor line (parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and so on). It does not include siblings.
My intention is to print this tree and turn it into a framed family poster, so I would like a layout that shows both ancestors (up to great-grandparents) and siblings (including spouses) together.
Is there any way to do this within the platform?
Thank you!

I am having a little difficulty picturing in my mind what you are trying to portray. I think a lot of it might be determined by the size of your family. I do know that there are a lot of clever people who make family trees for posting on walls. You might want to check out the Expo Hall at Roots Tech for examples of what they create. While it may be something is not easily done in the familysearch format, with a little cutting and pasteing I am sure you might be able to create a useful and attractive work of art.

Here is one such company that is thinking out of the box to create unique situations

You are likely to get far more flexibility if you export the relevant part of the Tree into one of the installable 3rd party products in the Solutions Gallery (some are free of charge). I have had good results with RootsMagic.

Puzilla.org also organizes an interesting view.

I did one for a family reunion that showed siblings and their spouses and their children but I did it by saving "print screen" and pasting them together. It took a little time but turned out well. Good Luck

@Davi3526 You can already see siblings in the Portrait tree view. By each person shown in that Tree view, you'll see an arrow pointing to the left or right. Clicking on that will expand the tree for that person to show their siblings (and their spouses).
Here's an example, where you can see how it expanded when I clicked the right arrow to the right of Margaret Ann Lewis (which then turned into a left arrow to give me the option to collapse the view of her siblings).
This view is not necessarily optimal for printing, but it does let you see the siblings of any of your ancestors in the same view with your direct line ancestors.
