Do we still to record the Abbreviated given names as written in document Indexing/Reviewing?
During the new Family Indexing Review in "Opportunities" I have found given names abbreviated in 1801 Philippine Baptisms. Do we continue to record the names as written, ie Franco for Francisco with the co elevated?

@Mary Rice With Full Name Review, your task is to compare the name in a historical document with the name that the computer transcribed. The two names should be exactly the same. If you see a mistake in the transcription, you can correct it. https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/help-with-full-name-review#:~:text=With%20Full%20Name%20Review%2C%20your,transcription%2C%20you%20can%20correct%20it.

@dancingintherain the question is about Family Indexing Review not Full Name Review.

@Mary Rice I apologize for providing you with information pertaining to Full Name Review instead of your request, Indexing Review. Although both help articles, Full Name and Indexing Review instructions seem to be about the same. Here are the instructions from Indexing Review -
- Compare the handwritten name in the image with the name that has been indexed.
- Click Yes if the name in the prompt matches the handwritten name in the image. The two names should be spelled exactly the same.
- If you can clearly see that the name in the prompt does not match the name in the image, click No.

2 - Compare the handwritten name in the image with the name that has been indexed.

@dancingintherain I appreciate your assistance with FIR and given names that were abbreviated in the historical record. I had much experience with these abbreviated first names when doing English Church Records from 1500-1600s. The Instructions with those records was not to expand the abbreviations as you suggest. It causes me some reluctance in Historical Philippine records to follow this as it may make the family genealogist who is trying to find particular names to hesitate as many of the abbreviations are also Traditional given names in the Philippines. Given names in early English names were relatively few compared to the Filipino names which are in the hundreds due to combinations of Indigenous names, Chinese, Spanish, and Malayan names. Just my curious mind speaking. I will continue to follow the Exact name rules for given names.

@MandyShaw1 @AnthonyHopkins5 @Sam Sulser Here is a screenshot, albeit with poor contrast, that does not Highlight either of the Primary Names shown on the document but instead asks "Is The Primary Person?
This is but one of the 40% of FIR documents that show for a page of 2-6 Names that I get regularly. See my previous comment regarding these
