What can I do to get 2 of my FamilySearch URL links to work?

I just completed a scholarly article on my family lineage. I have 15 References containing links. They all work fine but 2 of them. After I attempt to access them, I get a 400Bad Request. I cannot find the problem. The following are those posts:

1. Wilkerson, Eva Eubank. 1953. Index to Marriages of Old Rappahannock and Essex Counties, Virginia, 1655–1900. Richmond, VA: Whittet & Shepperson. Digitized by FamilySearch. https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/viewer/387924/?offset=1#page=1&viewer=picture&o=info&n=0&q=

2. Chapman, Blanch Adams. n.d. Marriages of the Isle of Wight County Virginia, 1628-1800. Digital FamilySearch International. Accessed January 28, 2026. https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/viewer/569094/?offset=1&return=1#page=1&viewer=picture&o=info&n=0&q=

Thank you all with your help.

Lewis

@LewisHales I removed the last half of the url and it worked. https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/viewer/387924#page=1&viewer=picture&o=info&n=0&q=

    Thank you.

    @LewisHales

If I copy your first URL
    https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/viewer/387924/offset=1#page=1&viewer=picture&o=info&n=0&q=

and paste it in my browser, it opens for me to the first page of the book. Screenshot:

    And, the second URL

    https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/viewer/569094/offset=1&return=1#page=1&viewer=picture&o=info&n=0&q=

    does the same.

You may find it beneficial to use the link to the book(s) rather than to the first pages.

    https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/records/item/387924-index-to-marriages-of-old-rappahannock-and-essex-counties-virginia-1655-1900

    and
    https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/records/item/569094-marriages-of-the-isle-of-wight-county-virginia-1628-1800

Or, for shorter links, use the link button. Longer links are often more susceptible to corruption because of line breaks.

Thank you for your response. However, I wish it would work for me like that. Ironically, when I copy the URL from the Reference and post the identical URL in the search bar, it works for me just like that too every time. But when I include the URL to my Reference in my paper, it goes to the Bad 400 page. Yet, the other 13 are fine. I have not seen anything like that in the over 40 years I have been a researcher. Do you think it is possible that there might be some type of embedded security inscription that some Family Search URL's have that prevent them from being used in research papers?
