New restrictions on 18th century records - access path
Dear Experts and Community,
I’m looking for practical advice from people who work with the following revision lists or experienced with such cases. Unfortunatelly FamilySearch support is only responding with “contract restrictions”, non-valid links to help center and won’t provide custodian/contact details.
These images were viewable for me earlier (at least in 2023), but now many are restricted. And there is no further information on the access path.
It is also very strange that 18th century records were restricted and restriction made partially.
I really appreciate your support!

I am not connected with Family Search. This is a large collection of digitised microfilms, the originals are held at National Historical Archives of Belarus, Minsk
When I look at the catalog entry, I see some microfilms are available full view, some are available at Family Search Centres and Affiliate Libraries, and some are not available at all, except if they can be found on microfilm.
Not knowing much about these records, from the catalog entry they all seem of a similar type, so you would think that they would all have similar viewing conditions.
@SerraNola, could you look into this please
To the original poster, if you do not have a FamilySearch Center or Affiliate Library near you, perhaps a Library in your region would be prepared to apply to become an Affiliate Library

Clearly there are discrepancies in how these records were restricted, but I was unable to uncover any link between those assigned No Access and errors in the metadata. There are 23 fully accessible films, while the remainder are all restricted. None can be accessed at an Affiliated Library or FSC, despite catalog icon indications.
The collection has been sent to Rights Management for review, and I will update you on their findings.
