Uploading a GEDCOM file (including photos) to the Genealogies

Hi

I have a friend (in his 90s) who wants to deposit his entire database into the Genealogies Collection (Pedigree Resource Files). We have prepared the GEDCOM files, but before uploading, I ran a test on a small GEDCOM file of my own.

The upload of the data went well, but none of the photos came across, even though they are in the GEDCOM file.

I am sure that this is a capability, but I am wondering if I have missed a step somewhere.

Thanks
Ralph

In most exports, a GEDCOM file is a text-only file that contains all of the facts and information for a tree; photos, media, and similar items are not included.

GEDCOM v7 is designed to include media, but most platforms have not yet adopted v7.

@Ralph Gray You can upload the photos, media etc into Memories once your GEDCOM file is uploaded, but you can only upload in batches of 10 files :(
