How to fix census household
I have been trying to fix a few census households for Alabama census records, which seem to have been indexed incorrectly or incompletely.
One example is this 1930 census household (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:3VVP-Z3Z?lang=en), which correctly lists Nathan's 2 step-children, but misses his wife Mary, who is indexed in a separate household (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:3VVP-8ZM?lang=en).
I tried following the steps given here in the help center, but every time I add Mary, when I go back to the records, she is removed from the household grouping and nothing is saved.

@ELogan999 Several users have recently documented issues with the Editor. Sometimes, the edits disappear and then reappear.
Here's one thread documenting the issue:I suggest giving it a rest and checking again tomorrow. The engineers are aware.
Hope this helps.0

@ELogan999 The knowledge article you referenced has not been updated. To move an indexed person use Manage Indexes and just drag and drop in the correct family:
As you mentioned, the 1930 Census for Alabama has some unique errors. Family groups in the index show a pattern of every other person pulled out and placed individually at the bottom of indexed groups. While a fix has not been developed yet, user assistance in reuniting these families is appreciated. Thank you for your efforts!
If you should experience delays or unsaved changes when using the edit function, it is advisable to pause and allow the system time to process. The creation of a new family or the addition of personas to the index initiates a permissions review, which may result in temporary slowdowns.

@SerraNola Sorry if that wasn't clear, I was using the method you described in your post here, since that was how I interpreted the instructions, but still nothing was updated. I have tried again now a week later with no effect.

@ELogan999 You are correct. Families can be grouped, but do not display in Record Details. Engineering has requested that the collection be "restitched", but that fix has not yet been run.
Apologies for the incorrect answer and any inconvenience caused.
