Where do you add details about ancestors/California Spanish/ numerous spellings same family
So, I am researching The Albizu history here hoping to find details of relationships that are difficult to find. There are 20 different family name spellings of this name, and thus 20 different families I would like to search, to find out if someone has more detail of relationships. Adding my families spelling and knowing that this information is being duplicated makes me afraid to add our family ancestors. This is all important California history related to the De Anza expedition families, other intermarriages, and historical events since then.

The FamilySearch tree offers the option of adding many different spellings and name variants in the "Alternate Name" section.
In this example, I've listed nicknames, married names, and variant spellings for my great-grandmother.
And, this GG- Uncle changed his name at naturalization in 1874:
Hope this helps!

Also, do be aware that when you add alternate names, all those names are used by the Hints routine and by the Possible Duplicates routine. So if you add all the alternate names you know of and someone else has created a profile with one of those alternate names, that other profile should appear as a possible duplicate so you can combine all duplicates into a single profile.

Thanks for the note, @Gordon Collett. I had meant to add that bit at the end.
