Schaffhausen SH - Geschlechtsregister - Oechslin & Ermatinger - Johann Jacob & Maria Elisabetha
Schaffhausen SH- Geschlechtsregister- Johann Jacob Oechslin and Maria Elisabetha Ermatinger
Hello,
In the register on PG 49, family entry for Johann Jacob Oechslin and Maria Elisabetha Ermatinger, there is a note about Johann Georg 1800 2 May and someone 1819. Could I have an English translation of those two entries (the bottom two paragraphs)? It seems like it's saying something about adoption.
If the attached image is too blurry, see here.
Thanks in advance.

NB2) wurde A(nno) 1819 von seinem Stiefvatter an Kinder stadt adoptiert

Johann Georg, born May 2, 1800 / see page: 61
… who was adopted by his stepfather in 1819.

Thank you. Stettfeld is in Germany, correct? Do you know if there's any way to find Jacob. So far this is about all the information we have about Jacob Sattler.

On the page of the parents of Elisabetha Ermatinger only her marriage with Hans Jacob Oechslin is mentioned - not the marriage with Jacob Sattler - so most likely this did not take place and was not even recorded in Schaffhausen.
Ortsnamen.ch finds two mentions of Stettfeld - neither being an inhabited place during the 1800s - so Germany is more likely. Meyer's Gazetteer finds two villages Stettfurt in Germany … either will be possible, one in Baden, one in Franken. I would recommend you ask in the Germany group.
