Help with suggestions
I know my mother’s biological maiden name Steffes. Not sure if spelling is correct may also be Stephes. She was born 12-11-1953. She had two sisters named (Names removed) She had two brothers (Names removed). Their mother passed away and they were sent to live with family members. My mom went to live with her uncle (name removed) and his wife (name removed). I believe that Charles was blood related and her uncle. I know my grandpa Charlie passed away July 1999 and my grandma Dorothy passed away 1994 December 24th. I really want to see if I can find more info on my mother’s biological parents and siblings. I have found my Grandfather Charles L Goodell on here and his obituary mentions my mother and her sister (name removed) but that is as much information I get. Any suggestions?

I, too, had trouble finding information on my relatives and know how frustrating it can be, but FamilySearch has made it easy just to get started. Start your search by building your family tree with what you do know for sure. Then start looking for ancestral records.
Don't worry if you do not know much at the start.
Searching for your ancestors in a historical records database is a lot like a Google search. You enter what you know about something you want to find. Then the search engine sifts through a mountain of data to find the best matches.
For an ancestor search, it is good to enter information such as the person’s name, where and when they lived, and when they died. It’s also helpful to be able to enter any relationships, like spouse, parents, or children.
Enter what you know or can find out from relatives. Don’t worry if you don’t know it all; a search can still be done with minimal information.

I think I was able to get somewhere using the info you provided. Take a look at your Mother's profile to see if what I added is supportive of your personal knowledge. It appears that your maternal grandmother Shirley may have died in childbirth. Any corrections needed, please send this way
