Bug: Unnecessary "Reason Not Changed" dialog

Until a day or so ago, if I opened the Birth or other vital field and did not edit anything, the "Save" button was greyed out and I could use the "Cancel" button to close the field. Now, however, when I open the birth field but do not edits, the "Save" button is active and if I click it, it brings up the "Reason Not Changed" dialog, which is unnecessary because I have not changed anything. If I click the "Cancel" button that does close the box without triggering the dialog. But the old behavior is preferable because it makes clear to the user that they have not changed anything (unless they actually have) and avoids the an unnecessary "Reason Not Changed" dialog. Thanks.

Hmm, I check and if I open the Birth or other vital field and do not edit anything, the "Save" button is active but clicking it does lead to the "Reason Not Changed" dialog. That's an improvement but I still prefer the old behavior where the Save button is greyed-out until a change has been made.

@Anne986 Thank you for pointing out what you saw in your discussion. I believe the reason for this change is to try and ensure people are placing a reason in the field before leaving if they were in the change box; many people forget this important detail. If, however, you simply change your mind and hit cancel, then it reverts back to the original field you were looking at without any extra steps.

The behavior before and now does lead to the "Reason Not Changed" if a user has made a change. The case I am discussing is when a person has not made any edits. Thanks.
