Added image (since declined) to another's post leads to my post disappearing.

It's getting to the point why I think this whole Community is so restrictive why bother posting anything at all.

I added a comment to another person's post and also added a screen shot of part of a FamilySearch webpage.

The screenshot was rejected. The email I received said "Thank you for using FamilySearch Community. We're writing to let you know that a recent image you submitted to FamilySearch has not been accepted, because it is not in accordance with one or more of the site's guidelines.

You can see the restricted item by clicking the following link:

For more information about the guidelines for adding images to FamilySearch Community, visit: https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/community-code-of-conduct

Thank you for using FamilySearch Community. We appreciate your continued patronage and hope you are enjoying the blessings associated with discovering and sharing your family history.

Sincerely,

FamilySearch Data Administration."

I have has a similar email before and was told it was for copyright reasons as the Image Moderator (a computer entity) cannot tell where the image came from. In this day and age of AI, cannot FamilySearch do better than this?

Not only was the screenshot rejected but my post, at the time I am writing this, does not appear in the list of All Discussions. It was not a significant post , but on what grounds was the post rejected?

If it's the thread that I'm thinking of, then I agree with both you and the OP that the thread has disappeared from the Community. Or, at least, from the obvious place in the Community.

I note that although the automated response says that the image is not in accordance with the guidelines, it (again) does not state which guidelines have been breached. This is seriously not acceptable as we cannot fix anything without knowing what guidelines we have breached. My heart goes out to the mod who has to continually deal with this nonsense. And yes, it is nonsense because a FamilySearch system has said that, in this case, a FamilySearch image is unacceptable. Huh?

Apparently the topic where I posted the screen shot still languishes on page 8 of Discussions, in spite of my comment (now without a screen shot), and two later comments by the Originator of that topic.
