Family Tree Chat with AI About Your Ancestors: Feedback
I'm having difficulty using the experimental tool about Chat with AI About Your Ancestors. The instructions about finding a person in the tree and then using Tree Chart seem unclear. As a result, I haven't been able to get this tool to work.
Is this tool the same or different than the home screen window called AI Research Assistant? In the case of the latter, it only seems to work for tree persons listed in the window, not by selecting a person about whom I'd like to find more information.
If you could please provide more succinct directions for use of these two tools, I believe that would improve tool utilization. Thank you.

The family search AI research assistant helps users by scanning family trees, locating potential records and suggesting new family members.
The process of searching through many attached records for one person in the tree can be very time consuming and tedious. The AI assistant can search quickly and even find overlooked records for people who may belong to the family you are working on. It’s a wonderful tool to help complete a family group. Using the suggested questions seems to make it easy for me to use. I haven’t had as much luck chatting with the assistant, but I think some practice will help us figure out which questions to ask. Good luck!

I’m experiencing the same confusion. The steps for accessing “Chat with AI About Your Ancestors” through Tree Chart aren’t very clear, and it’s difficult to tell how it differs from the AI Research Assistant on the home screen.
Clear, step-by-step instructions for both tools—especially how to select a specific person from the tree—would make them much easier to use and likely increase adoption. Thanks for looking into this.
