I need assistance in helping to read the hand written notations in this Italian birth record of my GG. I can make out the name of his parents, Francesco Cerone and Maria Theresa Laurenzana and his name, Guiseppe Cerone, but the other entries, in particular the occupation and domicile of his parents escape me. Many thanks in advance for any assistance. - Tom Hughes

    Agree with @Áine.ní.Donnghaile

Also, you didn't attach or link anything so we couldn't help without the actual record.

Since the post shows an edit within a couple of minutes of creation, the attachment probably wound up in the spam filter.

@Sam Sulser Could you check, please? Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this record. Old Italian civil documents can be tricky, especially with handwritten script and formal phrasing. Many of these records follow a standard civil registration formula, but the cursive style and old vocabulary make certain lines hard to interpret. It often helps to identify key sections first, such as the registration date, the declarant’s name, and the parents’ information before focusing on smaller words. When I get stuck on difficult passages, I sometimes ask professionals for help to avoid mistakes. I once used [removed for community compliance] for a precise translation, and it helped ensure every detail was accurate.
