    @Regina10257 The Search button is found on the banner across the top of FamilySearch, just after you sign in. When you click on it, you will be asked to fill in a little information about your ancestor and then you let the system search for you. FamilySearch may find your relative right away, especially if they have an unusual name! Sometimes, the system will pull up several people and you can decide which of those look like your person. This information comes from records and the shared data in the family tree. I hope this helps you!

    @Regina10257 Those excellent suggestions above will help you search for records that relate to your "person." You might also consider using the FIND tool to see whether your person is already in the FamilySearch tree.
