Hello,

I've been trying to track my ancestors family down for some time, with not much luck. I've tried all the usual archives in Hungary, as well as assistance from genealogists etc.

The person I'm trying to track down is.. https://www.familysearch.org/en/tree/person/about/L43D-NPM

Roza Schwarz. Born around 1850s in Hungary. The reason why she is so hard to trace, is that she ran away to join her life partner, Tancredi Fumagalli, part of a family circus from Italy. So there is no marriage certificate, as they would have been unable to marry as she was Izraelite.

On her daughter's baptism certificate, it says the mother, Roza, was born in Derzs (Nyirderzs Szabolcs). I know the couple met in Budapest. I know her father had a role in government, that meant that he approved a circus to perform outside their home, in a town square, and this is how they met. I don't know their names.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Tancredi died in Milan in 1914, she was still alive then. Ive been trying to find her death certificate to find her parents, but no luck.

Thank you

Nadia

Good morning. I suggest that you join and post in the group for https://community.familysearch.org/en/group/13-austro-hungarian-empire-research where those experienced in the region may be able to assist.

    Best of luck!
