Bug with Full Name Review highlights no longer changing color to show where you are typing.

In Full Name Review, the name highlights have stopped turning blue when you click on them. They used to, but now, in the last few weeks, clicking on the name to type it is not making it turn blue, so you cannot tell which highlight you are typing in the name for anymore. I have this bug in both Firefox and Google Chrome, so I do not think it is the browser, and it is a relatively recent problem.

Since I type things confusingly I guess, the instructions read: "Each text box is connected to a single highlight. Click on the box to see which highlight is connected to what." That is no longer happening. It broke a few weeks ago.

The highlights on name are not connected to the boxes with their names in them. When you click on Given names or surname boxes, the highlights in the document do not turn blue. Please fix.

@subrown2 If you are asking about Full Name Review under Getting Involved, please review the instructions — the highlights don't turn blue until Step 2

This was a feature I really liked, and without it I feel a lot more uncertain about what should go where.

This is during step 3, when your placing the names where they need to go in the various categories (such as given name, surname, name suffix/prefix)

@AnthonyHopkins5 I hear you. I've experienced the same challenges. I don't know why the recent change. I'm going to forward this to a section where leadership can take a targeted look. Thank you for raising the question

To clarify this, since I am experiencing the same bug I think, the names are not turning blue at step 2. They used to, but now clicking on the name to type it is not making it turn blue, so you cannot tell which highlight you are typing in the name for anymore. I have this bug in both Firefox and Google Chrome, so I do not think it is the browser, and it is a relatively recent problem.

If it was a deliberate change, the instructions still refer to it. To copy paste: "Each text box is connected to a single highlight. Click on the box to see which highlight is connected to what." So I think that it is a new bug. Also it can be a problem for some names, where I cannot tell which section to put in the first or last name. So it is not just an inconvenience I think.

Farther clarification, the problem is it not highlighting when you click on the textbox. Therefore you cannot tell which highlight the textbox is for. Clicking a highlight still turns it blue, that is not the problem.

A temporary (if a bit annoying) fix is to grab the spot that allows you to click and drag the boxes between various channels (such as name, surname, name prefix, ect.) This allows you to see the specific highlight the text box is connected to.
