Checking on place names

The Indexing on checking for place names gives options for the "correct" name of a place; however, the options given are wrong for a place name in the 1600s and only gives the 1966-1999 option which didn't exist in the 1600s. It will not let me put the correct place name (parish) and I'm left to choose a modern address for a parish church that no longer exists though it is in the correct area: Whitechapel, Stepney, London. Who do I contact to allow the 1600 option?

@KarenPierotti1 Have a look at https://www.familysearch.org/en/research/places/ - that's the link I've always used in the past and it has a "Suggest a New Place" link.

If you do a search on "Whitechapel, Stepney, London", for instance, you'll see 5 versions of Saint Mary Matfelon, so you can try and get your head around the different patterns of naming that they use in that area.
