Why Is An Entire Side Of My Family Not Showing Up On Any Records?

Hello! I'm currently trying to map my maternal family history as I've already made significant progress on my paternal side, but I've run into a massive roadblock! I have my great-grandparents up on the tree since my family knew at least their names, but when I try and look into any records, there are no matching results literally anywhere! I've managed to find graves for my grandmothers parents manually, but that's as far as I've gotten. Is Poland simply not that well mapped? Because I find it hard to believe that there aren't any records of 4 whole people! I honestly think I need a lot of help on this one, but I feel bad taking up much of anyone's time. But if anyone has any information on a "Michal Sekula" married to a "Julia Sekula/Flik", please do let me know! Those are the one's who's graves I've found. I don't know if I'm able to link any IDs here so if that'd be easier please let me know! And if anyone has any information on a "Mieczyslaw Bartkiewicz" married to a "Josefa Bartkiewicz", please inform me of them as well! Any general tips are appreciated because I've been running myself up a wall these past few months.

Please consider a free consultation that you can sign up for on this page under Quick Links look for and pick "Free Research Consultation". You can set up an appointment for 20 minutes talking to a seasoned genealogist. Also check out the Research Wiki for where to go specifically for Polish records.

There are MANY records that are not yet indexed to be searchable by name. And, even when they are indexed, the spelling may not be exactly what you are expecting to see.

One more idea. Go to Groups to the right of Community News at the top of this page, then either pick All Groups and look for the Group, Poland Research, or just type Poland Research in the browser window for an abundance of ideas for doing research in Poland.

@matylda113 If you have PIDs of your maternal great-grandparents, please post them here, with their names so that someone might be able to help point you in the right direction.
