Hi @gmitch50,
Do you know if Garland is her maiden name or could she have been married before? I came across this record while researching a Robinson family in White, Illinois,
From what I have been able to find about Aramenta (Arament) Robinson, she is listed on a deed as an heir to William Robinson. Her last name in that deed is Coulter. In the 1850 census she is living with John G. Robinson (also an heir to William Robinson), his wife and children, and two other heirs of William Robinson, another John Robinson and an Eli Robinson. Her last name in that census record is Robinson. 1850 is the year she married James Garland. Here is her PID 9Q45-B63 so you can take a look at her profile. One interesting fact is that John Robinson who was born in 1833 married Elizabeth Gann, after he died in the Civil War, Elizabeth then married William Colbert (the same William Colbert married to Arminta Garland). They married in January of 1865 and he died before 5 Mar 1865. I have attached their marriage record, the probate journal record from March of 1865 and military record pensions that William Colbert is mentioned in being the husband of Elizabeth Gann. I hope this may be of some use to you.
