Cannot see Records

Afternoon,

Recently a family member has added many new records to our family tree. Unfortunately, I cannot see any of them. All the entries are for deceased family members.

Is there some setting that I'm overlooking?

Thanks in advance,

Walter

@WalterDziuba Can you please point us to one of the deceased profiles with a record you are unable to view? It's a lot easier to answer a question in the specific.

It's possible that your relative visited a FamilySearch Center or affiliate library and attached records that are restricted from viewing from home. I do that often.

    Hello,

For example, this code is for my mother P4Z1-HSX. Other family members have added many, many records for my Mom's ancestors but I cannot see them.

    Thanks for your help,

    Walter

If your mother is living, we won't be able to start from her profile. Can you share the PID code for the nearest deceased ancestor?
    Thanks.

    Hello,

Here's another example. Father (P4Z4-R6D) and Mother (P4ZH-9MZ)'s children have had their children's and spousal records added. Again, I cannot see those records.

@WalterDziuba I can see spouse and children information against P4Z4-R6D, though I can't see any source records attached, either at profile or relationship level. Can you identify a source you were expecting to see?

@WalterDziuba It seems - from what I can see - that someone has added dates and relationships but has not attached any sources.
Have you tried contacting the other contributor(s)?

@MandyShaw1 Just looking at the comment/example of Father (P4Z4-R6D) and Mother (P4ZH-9MZ)'s children have had their children's and spousal records added. Again, I cannot see those records. Father and Mother's children & children's spouses are descendants - and probably living - thus they're adding grandchildren, their spouses and great-grands. I think living persons can only be seen by the person adding them, right?

@maryellenstevensbarnes1 We're looking at profiles that have no sources attached. If the profiles were marked living, we couldn't see those profiles. The profiles are visible to all, but there are no sources attached.

What "new records" were added and where on the profile?

Were they attached on the Sources tab (the preferred method)?

Or were they images attached on the Memories tab? If so, and if the family member marked them as "private", no one besides them be able to see them. They will need to change them to "public".

    Hello,

Thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated! You are correct, there is no source given for those records. They have been input from old print outs after reviewing records at a local Family History Library.

Will correct the issue and see what happens.

    Thanks,

    Walter
